With over 35 years of consulting and communications experience, Ward has worked as an Associate, Senior Associate, Principal and Partner at a number of Consulting Engineering firms in Asia, the US and Canada. Ward has skills and expertise in Telecommunications/IT, Security systems, wireless systems, Acoustics, Audiovisual and multi-media systems for diverse building types in numerous countries. From hospitality, commercial, residential, institutional and mission critical projects to exhibition centers, stock exchanges, consulates and embassies, Ward possesses a unique mix of international experience. Ward has been involved in the design of many distinctive and diverse projects, including the 2015 Pan Am Games Athletes’ Village in Toronto, Taipei Financial Centre (Taipei 101), Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, De Young Museum in San Francisco, Microsoft Campus in Silicon Valley, Fleet Briefing Room for the Commander in Chief of the Pacific Fleet, at Pearl Harbor, HI, Residence Antilia (Mukesh Ambani home), Mumbai, Beijing Embassy and Istanbul Consulate for the US State Department, Prada Beverly Hills, Bur Juman Centre, Dubai, Suntec City Convention Centre in Singapore, Singapore Supreme Court, Hong Kong Convention Centre, and over 50 luxury hotels.   • Worked for Acoustics/AV consulting firms in Hong Kong as an Acoustics and Audio-visual Consultant (AMS Acoustics Ltd. and Campbell & Shillinglaw) – 1983 to 1990. Worked closely with Peter Barnett of AMS Acoustics, an expert in Intelligibility and the creator of the Common Intelligibility Scale, which is used in numerous Life Safety standards in North America and Europe

 

  • Feature Film Sound Recordist – Angle Films, London, England – 1977 to 1980

 

  • In 1978, Ward was Sound Engineer on a concert film with Eric Clapton, on a tour through Europe, aboard a luxury train. The film was called “Eric Clapton and His Rolling Hotel”. This is detailed in Ward’s Blog in this website.
